One of my old school crushes has died.
The former boxer and star of Rocky V, Tommy Morrison, died in a Nebraska hospital on Sunday.
Tommy's longtime boxing promoter said he has been in the hospital for months battling an 'unknown' illness. Many believed he died of AIDS, since he was diagnosed in 1996. Tommy's mother said it was AIDS in an ESPN interview.
Tommy's career was halted by his illness and retired 2008. He died peacefully with his wife by his side. It's a sad ending to a good boxer.
RIP, Tommy.
