Putin speaks to us about Syria
So, um, Vladimir Putin wrote an op-ed in the New York Times, addressing the issues with Syria.
It's an interesting read, but here is the only thing that sticks with me. This statement:
My working and personal relationship with President Obama is marked by growing trust. I appreciate this. I carefully studied his address to the nation on Tuesday. And I would rather disagree with a case he made on American exceptionalism, stating that the United States’ policy is “what makes America different. It’s what makes us exceptional.” It is extremely dangerous to encourage people to see themselves as exceptional, whatever the motivation. Interesting Quote: Vladimir Putin
“We can be absolutely sure that Russia will support the principles of Olympism, which don’t allow discrimination of people on any basis, either ethnicity or gender or … sexual orientation.Putin promises no drama to gays during the Winter Games... We'll see.
--- People of untraditional sexual orientation are in no way infringed upon, either in a professional sense or in terms of salary. I am working with such people.... We have absolutely normal relations, and I don’t see anything special in it.”

You have set an example of moral leadership that has shamed the governments of Western Europe and North America and inspired the peoples of the world. Already Lithuania, Moldova, Hungary and the Ukraine have begun to follow your principled example, and you have engendered real hope in the international pro-family movement that this destructive and degrading sexual agenda might finally begin to be brought to a halt across the globe. And it get worse.
